Stephane Dion has degrees in Political Science, not Environmental Science. I will agree Wally, that degrees or training don't necessarily translate to political success in a specific field. Most politicians are lawyers, doctors, or business execs and serve in a wide range of political appointments.
Kyoto does have flaws, that doesn't mean we should scrap it, it means we should improve it. The Clean Air Act is also flawed, doesn't mean we can't build on it.
