Tim Bosma, the Hamilton man who was the subject of an intense search after he went missing while taking two men out on a road-test of his truck, has been found dead, Hamilton police said today.

On Tuesday morning, police Chief Glenn De Caire told a news conference that burned human remains have been found.

De Caire said police "require more time" as they continue to search for "those responsible for Tim's death. We will continue to follow every single lead."

He added that the lead investigator, Det. Sgt. Matt Kavanagh, will provide a briefing at 2:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday. Police asked for the public to continue to provide tips.

Bosma, 32, from the Hamilton community of Ancaster, went missing more than a week ago after he accompanied the two men on the test-drive of the truck he posted for sale online

An arrest was made Saturday. Police have charged Dellen Millard, 27, of Toronto with forcible confinement and theft over $5,000.

As well, they have obtained search warrants and are concentrating their efforts on the Kitchener-Waterloo area, says Const. Debbie McGreal-Dinning of Hamilton police.

Waterloo Regional Police Services (WRPS) are on hand to assist, but the investigation is still being led by Hamilton police.

"We have a liaison officer, an investigator, assisting the Hamilton police while they are in Waterloo region, and that's basically for local support and knowledge of the area if there is anything Hamilton requires," WRPS Insp. Kevin Thaler said. He confirmed they provided security for a Hamilton police investigation on Roseville Road. That is the location of the Millard farm being searched by police. Hamilton police have its forensic truck on scene and there is a large tent set up on the property. There are about 10 police vehicles on the property. Earlier this morning police escorted a group of civilians to the back of the property. It's not clear who they are.

"The purpose for Hamilton staying with this investigation entirely is obviously they have begun the investigation. To use partner agencies is always welcome, but at the same time you then have to add officers from other police services to your witness lists, to any preparations for courts, and it can add costs to the investigation."

Police have found Bosma's cellphone and what they believe to be the truck he was last seen in. They have also received more than 500 tips from the public.

It's a pain in the *** when you can't remember which thread has something in it that you want to search for, though.

Perhaps merging these type of threads so we all stay current- Thread Name change and such - but all the posts would be there.

Actually I think the new thread was a good idea. What a bloody shame about this young guy. I hope they nail the other two SOB's involved.

his body was found in a small community close to where I work, for some reason they were still using helicopters over the area long after they had identified him...I am wondering if they are suspecting other deaths

Other two? Did I miss a news report somewhere? I thought it was just the two suspects, one they have in custody, the other they don't.

Latest report is that a second vehicle was caught on surveillance video following Bosma and his two killers at somewhere along the route after leaving his house. That would bring the number of suspects up to at least three.

Tim Bosma: Dellen Millard will be charged with murder; a second vehicle involved

Kavanagh said based on video evidence they now know when Bosma left his home with two males to test drive the truck, a second vehicle — which may have been an SUV — followed them

Thank you. I've been working all day and haven't had a chance to update myself yet.

Somebody dropped them off for their 'test drive', and presumably followed them to wherever they went.
