Silent cry for help! No one there to help! There is no oil there! Who cares!

Well Soc... are you going to push to get Canada involved?
And, BTW, if you want the horror in Darfur to end, raise a "coalition of the willing", invade the place, drag the President out of his Palace, and shoot him once behind the ear on the front street, in public.
Ha Ha. Nah... they would rather just complain of inaction rather than do something.
Nobody wants to touch Dafur because Africa is a complete mess and the only way to clean it up is to kill a lot of bad guys. Then the natural course of these events will begin with accusing the coalition of killing women and children only and the whole body count gets credited to them as well. Then eventually you will get...
"OUT OF DAFUR NOW!"
Just whine, and blame the republicans, we could say that they inherited the mess from Bush. That should keep the left happy, then they can get back to flying private jets here and there to stop "climate change".

Yes, exactly, finally someone gets it! Somalia, Rwanda, they didn't pan out well at all. Like Afghanistan, Darfur would take a lot of bullets, a lot of money, and a lot of dead to sort out. Our Nation is weak willed, and does not grasp the realities of conflict. Sure we could drop Afghanistan (which is a worth while cause), and go to Darfur (which is also worthwhile), but casualties would wound, money would be expended, and people would be killed (no doubt some civilians in the mix) and we'd be at the exact same place we are now; uneducated individuals declaring the war unwinnable, people winning over civilians casualties, and most Canadian soldiers in the ground. Why trade one conflict for another? Unless of course it's become Canadian custom to bail out when things get dicey?
Wait!!!
Aren't Muslims killing Muslims in Darfur?
Maybe Israel can help?
In Africa, we see the results of meddling in the affairs of a world not ours to understand.
Blame the US? Hardly. Britain, France and the Netherlands were bickering over treasures and interfering with people on the "dark continent" when Uncle Sam was still just "Li'l Sammy" and wetting colonial diapers.
The Netherlands were in Africa (South Africa) very briefly
Maybe you meant Belgium. Spain, Portugal, Germany or Italy?
