It is only being held up in litigation by river crossing agreements, otherwise the court cleared it to go.
Neither of those fools understand that it's the resource sector in Canada that fuels the economy.... But, with any luck, trudie will get elected again and this will really spark a separation referendum

We still have lotsa cash flow from O&G, unlike the rust belt in Ont's former mfg sector and, well, Que and the Maritimes don't have any economy so to speak.

In a weird way, the flossy propaganda is exactly what the West needs as a spark to start the process of distancing from Ottawa and Canada.
The more that this Neanderthal attitude is expressed, the faster we get outta the Eastern created quagmire.
Western separation is a fairy tale. Unfortunately, the Western separatist movement is only going to split the right, which will paradoxically ensure Liberal rule in perpetuity.
More provincial autonomy is a realistic goal, which is where this ultimately goes. If we can't learn to compromise as a country and work together on solving the divisiveness, we're going to have to learn to embrace far left socialist/communist rule which will be inevitable if we continue on the current trajectory.
I disagree on the fairy tale element, AB/SK are already landlocked and can't get our goods to market so why pay Fed taxes for, ummm, exactly what again?
As far as splitting the right, doesn't matter as the Cons will never be assuming gvt, in my lifetime anyways but a Wexit Party is already poised to run in the next Fed election and I'd wager that they take a bunch of seats.... They will have no traction in Ottawa and that will be the spark

I'm not saying it is achievable, I'm just saying it's more achievable than Western Separation.
And to be clear, it's not that I don't or wouldn't support the idea of separation, but I would like to try other options first so we might at least have some semblance of a chance.
