John Ivison: Trump has ‘unusually positive view’ of Canada and things should ‘go well,’ top adviser says | National Post
Justin should probably start listening!

Trump is proving to be an action man, which is what most countries need.
Don't believe Trump has Canada's back. Trump has one agenda.. put America and American workers first.. he does NOT care about Canadian workers, that's our job, the job of the Canadian government.
Well, we've got our own "trump" card. We've got lots of water and they're running out.
You aren't going to do a thing but sell it to us if we want to buy it.

The so called 'exemption' prospectively offered to Canada on tarriffs is something with a very sinister subtext. If Nafta goes, we are left with the FTA, which preceded it. That, under that idiot Mulroney, entrenched a COLONIAL status on Canada as an exporter of unprocessed raw natural resouces.
We cannot compete with America in terms of economies and scale, and financial resources, without our OWN protective tarriffs. We see that right off the get go, with Trump's approval of the Keystone Pipleline which ships unrefined oil to refineries in Texas. That will happen over and over, unless we find a leadership strong enough to put its foot down.
Justin is such a weakling, so berefit of vision and passion for Canada, that he does not realize the the Trump Presidency places an urgent imperative of Canada to protect and reintegrate its own industrial economy, and most immediately with respect to primary resource processing, which requires substantial government supported investment.
Trudeau is morally, intellectually and patriotically unfit to manage the challenge.. in fact he's too stupid too realize there is even a problem.

how about transfer payments to balance inter provincial trade insteadOn economies of scale, BC can't compete with Ontario either. Interprovincial tariffs, anyone?
care has ZERO to do with it
he needs our markets and supply chain as well as raw materials too
as I said if the repatriated dollars do as the astute pundits have predicted
the US won't be able to buy up resources from higher value currencies
our dollar may end up doing better then it has but it will still stay near par at best
how about transfer payments to balance inter provincial trade instead
I think that's part of the job of a national government to figure that out
since votes come from all the provinces
Clever boy, you got that one surrounded in a hurry. Get your cheque-book out.
So why not just do that on a world scale?
Sure we'll pay as always. Just don't get foolish.
