Northern Ontario,
It happens once in a while, you get a neat video in an email or in a news article and you would like to post it in the forum
But it comes out as a hyperlink like this

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=uPVQMZ4ikvM

I'm using this one just because it's the most recent I found in the forum.

To do it is simple just remove the part of the hyperlink I put between the bracket[ ] ....and don't forget to remove the

http://www.youtube.com/watch?[feature=player_embedded&]v=uPVQMZ4ikvM

And you will get this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPVQMZ4ikvM

DaSleeper!!! You cheeky monkey!!!! You could have just told me! lol

That was an oversight because I always remove the 's'. I even go so far as to disable all links in articles depending on where I post it from.

BTW this was not pointing at you, I just didn't have a recent email with such a video link
and https doesn't bother a simple hyperlink

Forums have different format they accept as a video embed.

Remember the forum where you only had to post what was after the v=? uPVQMZ4ikvM

It must sometimes cause a problem though. I've had a thread go wonky where I have posted a youtube video with the 's' removed but it had links embedded in the article. Yahoo articles I've noticed are bad for that.

Oh yes, I remember, lol.

Speaking of extraneous 's', I cleaned up the thread from yesterday as best as I could, with Shadowshiv's help. Yet despite going through each post and looking for links with the 'https' and removing them, the bottom of the thread (quick reply portion) was still stretched out.
