Last week brought a chilling reminder of how mercilessly some liberals will work to silence and marginalize people who hold views with which they disagree.


Even for those of us who support same-sex marriage, the virtual manhunt of Mozilla chief Brendan Eich was scary to watch. His heresy was a private donation in support of an anti-gay marriage initiative six years ago. Mob rule enforcing groupthink is as illiberal as it gets, and yet it was liberals demanding uniformity of thought — or else.


Another incident of muzzling those without the proper worldview received less attention. Kickstarter, the nation's biggest crowd-funding site,refused to accept a film about convicted abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell unless descriptions of his crimes were removed.

Indiegogo only had a problem with the language that they used to describe the film on their site. They in no way tried to censor the film. She says stuff like "Somehow, making a movie recounting the crimes of a convicted abortion doctor is disrespectful and inconsiderate." when nothing that Indiegogo said had anything to do with the content of the movie.

It is funny that supposed conservatives in this case give no mention at all to the right of a private business owner to have control over their own business, especially in such a minor way.

Indiegogo does NOT enforce the "policy" on pro-abortion films with reference to late-term abortion, on slasher movies, on incest films.....only on a documentary on the worst serial killer in US history.

We need to point out point out that they do not apply their "standards" equitably, that they are typical "progressives" who would rather not talk about the mass murder of children, and are simply too cowardly to actually come out in support of suppressing the film, so they use some flimsy excuse.

She is a very smart lady who has the courage of her convictions and that scares the hell out of establishment on both sides of the isle .

They didn't say anything about the content of the film. They asked for specific changes to remove graphic wording from the write up on the Indiegogo page.

The response from the film makers was pretty stupid. They responded saying that they couldn't make it less graphic because the grand jury report was graphic. What does that have to do with anything?

Can you find any other examples of Indiegogo allowing people to use excessively graphic or inflammatory wording in promoting their project on the site?

Anyways........

What happened to the Christian Right in American politics? It faded away. The right lacks power because it doesn't control the institutions in the country.

The left is as responsible for the war on drugs as is the right.

O'Reilly isn't a conservative. Rush Limbaugh isn't a source of news...he's a brilliant polemicist.
