Does Deepak Chopra The Motivator Agree With Canadian Postal President Chopra?
The Canadian postal service has endured a lot of changes since the Former Prime Minister Mulroney’s era of a changing a business model from a money losing to a money making endeavour.
With the modern Canadian Conservative government today they were able to put the final nail in the postal union’s coffin by hammering out a weak labour contract like where bankable sick time is gone with the new rules of 70% wages if a person is sick to a maximum of three days and the wages of a person starting out is reduced by 25% and eight year increments of raises to get to full wages.
At the same time the way the mail is to be delivered in changing where each delivery person is given a small van to deliver the mail which means more money from postal services to be spent on fleet vehicles, insurance and fuel for those vehicles so where is the savings?
The Canadian Conservative government has come out with a new contract with the consumer called Canadian Postal Service Charterhttp://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/mediaroom/infosheets-canadapost-1770.htm
The Canadian Postal Services will listen to the consumer but that is after a decision is made and they seldom change their minds.
Community Outreach and Consultation
The future of the Canadian Postal service is simple “Canada Post For Sale”
They just want to cut back the postal services enough for a private company to easily take it over.
The community mail boxes that residence have to go to in newer subdivisions will eventually move to the more established urban areas and door to door delivery in Canada will be history.
Deepak Chopra the motivator is more consumer friendly as seen on his web site http://www.deepakchopra.com/ and I believe he would have taken a different path for an effective and consumer friendly Canadian Postal Service.
It is a proven fact that security on the Internet is hard to attain and massive amounts of personal information is viewed by less than desirable individuals and the amount of Spam is increasing along with scam phishing web sites Spam programs are capturing important emails that the consumer will never see so the postal services is still a viable solution to meet the needs of consumers.
