Games theory tells us that as long as you don't get caught, if you cheat you stand a better chance of winning. In all aspects of our lives if you are willing to bend or break the rules that others follow, you can take advantage of the situation. What is an acceptable risk for you?

It might be just taking a risk on the stock market....Or it could be something far more sinister.

Would you poison someone you knew, perhaps a family member, to steal from them, or to inherit their money? Would it make a difference if it were a stranger? Would you be willing to poison a lot of people a little at a time to make money from your mining stocks? Arguably that kind of poisoning could cause hundreds of premature deaths?

Out of 100 separate crimes with different perpetrators perhaps only 10% will ever be charged, and of those 10 perhaps only 3 will be convicted and of those 3 maybe only 1 will ever serve any jail time. that works out to 1%.

With odds so low and punishments so light it is no surprise to see Conservatives so ready and willing to risk the laws of the country to give advantage to their candidates. The risk is the cost of doing political business.

"Rules are for little people who can't afford lawyers." Say Conservative Campaign Strategists.

Which campaign strategist do you attribute this quote to. With link.

Not that I don't necessarily disagree with you. But I think it applies to all parties. For sure dippers

Funny....wasn't it the Liberals that stole something like 100 million for their party and friends out of the public purse?????

I could be wrong..........but I think it was the Liberals.....

Wasn't it Jean (the Don) Chretien that used government grants to promote his own personal profit, had buisiness dealings with convicted criminals, appointed a Mafia made man to cabinet, used his influence to rid the BDC of a President that refused to go along with him, and then used the RCMP as his own personal Gestapo to harass the man???

To say nothing of personally strangling a protester.

Gee Whiz....I'm sure that was the Liberals....

The most amazing feat of Jean the Don's career was that he made Lyin' Brian Mulroney look like an honest man....in comparison.
