The U.S. financial crisis has prompted many Canadians to take a look at their own finances. Some people have begun to take steps to lower their personal debt in case American financial woes begin to spill over into the Canadian economy.
What's the best financial tip you've ever received? Does it apply to the current U.S. financial crisis?

Buy when it snows, sell when it goes.

In other words, do your investment buying in Oct to January, sell in the spring.

There is almost always a drop in the market in late August to mid Sept.

I'll give some.

Work hard, live within your means, invest in real estate when it's cheap and start your own business or in my case businesses.

If business isn't your thing then invest in yourself and go to university for something meaningful....ie not philosophy.;-)

I think, because of your situation you don't like the wealthy that much.

Why? It's not my fault you got hurt nor is it my fault you lost your business.

Let me guess, you were a staunch Tory until you became broke. I've seen it before so I'm just asking.
