My mother has been dead for many years but I was reflecting upon this question this morning.
I feel blessed because of the parents I had. They called it exactly how they saw it. My mother would always call me on anything she felt was out of line.There was no "getting around anything". And that is the right thing to do for a child...no easy out....make them stretch as far as they can............and LOVE THEM for exactly who they are.
The biggest and best thing my mother did for me was to ensure I felt loved. If a person feels loved, they can get through anything. I believe the greatest gift you can give to another human being is to simply........love them.
When we have been well loved, we seek it in others and thus we always find it. Love begets love.
