What's in store for 2008?

The New Year brings not only a leap year with 366 days and a February statutory holiday for Ontario, Alberta and Saskatchewan, but it also could herald some major political changes. The U.S., Russia, Pakistan and possibly Britain and Canada are braced for national elections. Peace talks in the Middle East, which formally began in December, are slated to reach an agreement by the end of the year.

Man I'd like to see some Canadian Political News on CBC. I remember seeing Jean Cretchien on television a fair bit but Stephen Harper has been a ghost. The amount of American political content on basic cable is staggering (though very biggoted) I'd like to see Canadians get into the political process more, focus on the issues and use the strong economy to boost us to a higher world status.
