Cleanup begins after B.C. gale leaves thousands without power

It's been a helluva couple of months for BC. I hope they're all well insured out there. The weather just seems to get weirder and weirder. It was funny a couple of nights ago - I had watched the movie The Day After Tomorrow with its chilling weather plot and then at the end had switched to the Canadian news channel. It was like the movie hadn't ended. Here were all these strange tales of rogue waves on the Atlantic. Maybe we are are in a new age of the fabulous where fiction and reality are indivisible.
