I think we should all use cans of Campbells Soup for currency. The tomato is worth a buck, cream of celery two..etc. This will necessitate the continued use of plastic bags.

The US dollar is on the skids but what can replace it? The Euro? Will China or Japan be happy? It seems time to look at a world currency. All countries, equal, using the same coin.

global socialism? Drag all countries down because the US screwed their currency over by waging war? I don't think so. A global currency would simply take away the accountability of a government to maintain its economic health on its own.

Maybe there's more to it than what strikes me at first, but it seems like a really bad idea upon my first impression.

Go Local

World currency? Au contraire!

LETS and small, local economies are what is going to keep us in business.

Read up on any of the LETS systems, such as Ithica Hours, Tamworth Hours, Berkshares, and discover the solution.

The There already is a world currency. It is called gold. In theory government currency is suppose to be redeemable for gold. Or at least it use to be that way.

If we have a global currency what happens if it collapses? Why not allow companies to print their own currency and back it by whatever commodity or basket of commodities that they wish?

That will all come soon enough. Baby step, first the Amero. It is all up to the true elites of the world and no one else. Not the government and definitly not the people. The presentation presented here is part 1 of 2. The 2nd part is soon to be online. Please take the time to watch this 1 hour clip and I guarantee you will not want to miss the 2nd half and the conclusion. This clip will not stay long on the internet.

Nixon got rid of the gold standard, and what would be the good of it when all the money makers have to do is raise the price of gold to match the dollar. The dollar is in the crapper so lets make gold $810 an ounce. The money makers do as they choose.

So currency is still redeemable for gold it just loses its value relative to gold. Rather then a world currency why not let any company print their own currency? Retailers can list their prices in gold and companies and governments which don't have their currency tied to the gold standard will lose favor.

Or we could just carry on with the systems we have in place which seem to work just fine. A strong economy means a strong currency. Run your country into the ground and people's pocket books will show that you have. It's a balancing act. I don't feel sorry for the Americans and their current fiscal state. War does this. Always has, always will. I see no reason why anyone should be jumping in to bail them out with a new system of currency.

Not since the collapse of the Breton Woods system has money been commodity valued. Its all fiat now. Basing a money on a commodity makes certain currencies artificially high. Plus gold has nearly no actual worth as a commodity, what is a loaf of bread worth in gold when you are starving? Since the worth of gold is imaginary, money based upon it is just as insane.

I don't really know why any one would be concerned any ways. There is no such thing as money in existance today. You could value a currency at what ever you like that fact remains that there is no money as you and I know it.

Here is another Federal Reserve documentary that explains our situation as well.

There is NO money.
