Do you think if Day replaced Harper the polls would go up for the Conservatives? I would love to have Day return back to power. Harper is an ineffective lifeless leader, whereas Day in my opinion has christma that'll caputre Canadian supporters. That lifeless Harper wouldn't be able to convince Canadians and for sure he's going to lose the next election. Unless Day takes over, the Conservatives have no hope for any type of victory.

Do you agree?

Stuckwell Duh? No thanks. I'd rather see Manning back than that pinhead.

I admit I'm a Liberal supporter, but you know, I actually liked Preston. Didn't agree with most of his policies, but I thought he was an intelligent and motivated man.

Isn't he the guy who is trying to "integrate" our policing with that of the US?

Anyone who thinks of this type of "integration" is "good" is not someone that I personally would vote for...

I've been a Liberal supporter in the past so I would welcome Day back as a leader of the PC/Alliance/Reform. The Liberals had been in power too long, and it was guys like Day who helped keep them in power. A lot of the old guard have left the Liberal party and they have a new leader....Bring on Day by all means.

Well it's only a gut feeling, but I find I can't look into Harper's eye. Not so with Day, although I'm not to sure about the cons. in general. Liberals, well the record speaks for itself. We need something outside of the ststus quo and maybe Day could bring that to things. I guess he's had alot of experience since the 'seadoo scrum'.

I don't mind Stockwell Day as a person. But I would take Harper over him.

But I wouldn't mind seeing Day or Peter MacKay, being the Deputy PM. (doesn't Harper have no Deputy PM...)

I have voted Blue, since I could vote. At this point in time.. I detest the Liberals.

If anyone can convince me that Stockwell Day didn't screw up with the Maher Arar case, with the gun registry and is anything but a media hound I'd think he'd be suitable as a Harper replacement...

But then again, I think Howdy Doodee would make a better Prime Minister than Stephen Harper...

Both are wood...both are manipulated by strings and both never have to worry about saying anything stupid...someone else does the talking for both of them.

Neither Stockwell Day nor Stephen Harper...or Howdy Doodee for that matter are statesmen with the requisite skills to represent Canada on the world stage. Harper called Martin Mr. Dithers and here of late we see Harper back-tracking on Kyoto and climate change....dithering just like Martin....

what's the difference between Stockwell Day Stephen Harper and Paul Martin?

Absolutely nothing except of course Martin's been playing the game long enough to amass a personal self-worth in excess of 200 million....

Liars and theives one and all.

Besides that, the guy hates homosexual people and anyone who isn't Christian.

The guy is never going to win the Nobel Prize for Literature, that's for sure.

However, I thought he was candid, interesting, and right on the mark with a number of his comments.

The accusation that
the guy hates homosexual people and anyone who isn't Christian.
is just silly, and a little offensive.

I like Stockwell, to me he is doing a fine job as Public Defense minister. I could see this guy rising up to power again.

Very likeable too. Which is a big factor in politics these days.

Stockwell Day is an idiot, a religious fundamentalist of the worst sort who's so ignorant he thinks people and dinosaurs once walked the earth together. The only good thing about him rising to lead the political extreme right again would be that the political extreme right would sink out of sight in the polls. It happened before, remember? I've met him, and so has my daughter and one of my sisters. He's ****less, arrogant, ignorant, and not very bright. He'd be a terrible leader, a laughingstock around the world.

Wothehell's with that word starred out in that? It's f-e-c-k-l-e-s-s, a perfectly good word.
