Not that I remember Mulroney much outside of his being called Lyin' Brian and the whole NAFTA thing...

But when isn't he confused by something?

This quote from Brian ought to shed some light on his position:

"I saw Canada's problems through the eyes of a Quebecer who was born on Quebec's north shore."
Mulroney was part of the English ruling elite of Quebec. Forget the politics of Quebec, the English always had control until Rene came along and kicked their asses. The FLQ and the Partie Quebecois were a backlash movement caused by the English treating the French like second class citizens. I'm surprised the French let Mulroney stay there.

In the article, Mulroney waxed philosophically that Harper was ruling with a Western perspective which was the basis of his 'confusion'... I find it ironic that it was OK for him to questions Harper's methods, yet ignored the notion that his methodology that was Quebec centered was not confusing to those outside Quebec

I have difficulty understanding Mulroney.

Harper blew off the Reformers and has returned to being Progressive.

What is so hard to understand about that?

Harper is a fine Socialist with true Canadian values.

The d!ck sold us out to the Chinese, and you think that is right. I wonder how much he has in his personal off shore account for that.

Yes... Thank you Mr. Harper, it's high time that Canadians stood-up on the international stage and declared that we won't be held hostage by a tiny number of interest groups that perpetually suck at the public teat

DUDE!!!! China isn't buying us. We bought China years ago.

Today we have 2.5 Million lakes and rivers still protected by the Provinces who should have been protecting them all long. If you don't like what is floating down stream bitch to Victoria.
You don't like being responsible for your own waters?

The important part is how many jobs were created/saved by removing some bad laws. We have been preserving ourselves right into bankruptcy for decades.

The laws are still there. It's now fully Provincial responsibility and no redundancy.

Mr Harper is anything but a socialist he is on the extreme right. He did not blow off the
Reformers ether he instead asked them to be patient while he dismantled the country
one piece at a time. Mr Harper will indeed face much more opposition in the lead up to
the next election. There is also a chance the two other main parties will for a loose
unification in order to form a coalition government should he not get a majority.
A majority for the next Harper government is only a distant dream, he has crested in
popularity and the restless Canadians are getting ready to look for something new.

Harper is hardly extreme right. At best he is middle of the road. Just that he is constantly compared to all the extreme lefties.

Oh no no no. He USED the Reformers, hooped them and left them bleeding from the anus.

He's a Progressive. He's a shoe that fits both feet. A shoe for those who don't know their left from right that has no laces.

The perfect teflon man.

Lyin Brian's real problem is that being from Quebec he thinks tat all things are taken care of with paper bags full of cash.

Personality wise he's a dud but he's a sharp man and can stand his ground.

I see nothing wrong with well managed Socialism.
