if you are talking about political goal posts, the Conservatives don't like goal posts period, they always believe they own the whole field. This is why the polls today Feb 08 2010 reflect the conservative thinking.

Some people are snobs and look down on other people because thats how they were raised,and taught growing up,and they were probably taught or are insecure about themselves and use this snobish act as a barrier.
They generally feel that theyre better than you for whatever reason their parents taught them,maybe even though they never worked to close as hard as you did.
It stems from them just genuinely thinking theyre better for whatever reason,maybe they feel because they have a greater income that theyre superior to everybody else when in fact that has nothing to do with lifes greatness.
Lifes greatness is far better then a snob.............................................. .......
As I reread the OP I was thinking that just like a kid who is bullied at home will turn around to be a bully himself in public.....
Just maybe the Narcissistic snob in public could turn out to be the downtrodden one at home really lashing out to overcome an inferiority complex

Seems that most (if not all) people, who declare anyone who disagrees with them, plebs, idiots, rednecks, bigots, racists, extremists, wingnuts etc. are of the liberal persuation? Are they snobs?
Are those who refuse to give credit to any publication that does not parrot the liberal line, snobs?
Are those who refuse to acknowledge a poll if it wasn't run by Democrats (or their sycophants) invalid, snobs?
Are those who insist that Obama is more qualified to be President than any living creature in the world, snobs?
