right. and the guy who wrote the op-ed has HIS facts straight because he has the word "Sergeant" in front of his name even though he hasn't been there for three years and his facts conveniently coincide with what he needs to believe in order to avoid therapy.

I must say, at least I learned to count while I was over there. I got back in Dec 2005 from my last tour to Afghanistan, that adds up to..... 9 months. Not sure how someone gets 3 years out of the info presented, but even people who pick bits and pieces of what they want to quote is thier right. Therapy? LOL, I'm too crazy for therapy, but if you need some, drop me a line.

Where ya been for the last 20 years - the United Nations are always out of money - they'll just come knocking at the door of the United States treasury again and get the necessary funds.

If they'd just stop taking a cut of the pie for themselves when they do their good "peacekeeping". How about some of their best friends ante up the Food for Oil money hmmmmmmmmm?

BitWhys, you should get your facts straight. The USA is one of the only countrys that actually pays the UN money when it wants too, instead of yearly like the rest of the world. For many years the US has considered its service to the UN, payment enough and the rest of the world can suck it up. SO, when the UN comes knocking, its not money the US forks over, its normally support such as planes, vehicles and troops (which is appreciated). Facts are great when you actually know them.
