The King has decided to award the World War II veteran with a British Empire Medal
A D-Day veteran has said that Britain may be repeating the horrors from the recent past.
Mervyn Kersh, 101, (who was just a young lad of 20 on D-Day) from Cockfosters, north London, spoke out against the rise of anti-Semitism in Britain.
King Charles III has chosen to award Mr Kersh the British Empire Medal for touring schools around the country and telling children about the Holocaust. The King will bestow Mr Kersh with the medal on 1st January.
