World Cup why Russia?

Although my interest in the World Cup is minimal I do find myself wondering why they are doing this thing in Russia.

If the wars and the killing were not enough reason there is also the government-backed (mandated?) sport doping.

The Russians are the nexus of doping and everyone knows it and I am even surprised their team is allowed in there.

FIFA has a checked past and frankly this World Cup is a mistake. I know they got paid off big but still. It is in the vein of killing the golden goose because as one of those elusive North American potential soccer fans this sours me completely on the game.

Believe it or not the World Cup has nothing to do with the Olympics-apart from all the time you spend in front of a TV watching both.

The simple fact is that people are jealous and small minded they can't stand to see anyone else having fun.

The yanquis are especially jealous because Russian dictators are So Much Better than their pale laughable imitations.

Odd, in this day and age russia alone has access to performance inhancing chemicals, plenty of ruskies were cleared of using n' the McLaren report was deemed a fantasy yet losers persist. Of course lance armstrong only took chemicals for valid medical reasons
