I actually want the US to win, but only because the entire world would lose their minds if it happened.

By the way, what I want and what I think will happen are two different things :)

I'm going to be boring and pick Brazil.

Yeah, I do think we have a chance, albeit quite small, against Japan and Croatia. Only time will tell though......

Five good reasons for supporting my team "La Furia":

1. Raul Gonzales Bianco (captain and forward)
2. Francisco Fabregas (forward)
3. Iker Fernandez (goalie)
4. Santiago Ruiz (goalie)
5. Juan Moreno (defender)

Sorry, I took a while trying to decide which five to pick. The rest of the team aint hard on ones eyes either.

Go SPAIN GOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

At least your team made it there. That's pretty impressive in and of itself.

Oh, I wouldn't dismiss Spain.

I think they're a darkhorse.

They've got the team to do it.

And, unlike England, the entire country doesn't think they're one of the top favourites to win it all.

Ill cheer for the USA...everyone hates them just imagine the reaction if they won

Politic is completely different from the sport.

In the sport the stongest team wins.

Well imagine what will happen if Iran wins (unlikly to happen). I would cheer them. Because the winner team must have worked hard and deserve applaudse.

Despite the fact that no south Americans had ever won a world cup on a European soil, i am betting my money on Brazil. Remember now all the brazilian play in some of the biggest European clubs!

With Ronaldiho as the playmaker, and the likes of Ronaldo Adriano, Robino, Kaka,Junino,Brazil will be very hard to crack.

England was one of my favourites, i know you would say that one player does not make a team, but with someone like Rooney not playing(even if he plays he will not be 100% fit), i think the chance for them to win is very thin

As for US, i do not see them going very far this time.

Personally, i would really like to have Cameroune in the tournament, they have a fantastic and strong team. But, the Ivory Coast is also not bad!

Someone mentioned France, i am pretty sure that " les bleus" would be very difficult to beat, and its gonna be Thierry Henry's Tournament.

The Dutch is also not bad.

As for the host nation, beating them at home will not be an easy task.

Bottom Line: Its gonna be a fantastic tournament!

You do not think that you can put it like this Brazil is the huge favorite. I am supporting cheering for England and Sweden, where I think that England is the most serious bet on a winner. But I think that you are very wrong - and that you cannot at all put it like that. It is just some stupid statements that lack proper argumentation.

Brazil is in group F. 1st in group F will play 2nd in Group E. I think Italy, which are generally slow starters and have the Juve scandal hanging over their heads, will finish behind the Czechs in the group. Thus, Brazil will play Italy in the second round. And I think Italy can and will win that game because they have the players and the tactical acumen to shut down the Brazillians.

It could happen.

But to me it just some unfounded postulates. I do not think that Czech Repulic will qualify for the knock out round, I think that Italy will finish first and USA will second in their group and then USA will have to face Brazil, I think that USA will lose that match, and Italy will probaly have to face Croatia, whom I think they will beat.

since you put it like that

Five good reasons for supporting my team E-N-G-L-A-N-D:

1. David Beckham (captain and creative midfielder)
2. Michael Owen (forward)
3. Wayne Rooney (forward)
4. John Terry (defender)
5. Steven Gerrard (midfielder)

all better players than youve listed I'm afraid, also, bit of "inside info" here, since 1954 (the first world cup) only 6 teams have ever won the cup, considering Euraguey are now rubbish, realistically only 5 teams have a chance:

1. West Germany (winner of 3 world cups)
2. Brazil (winner of 4 world cups)
3. Argentina (winner of 2 world cups)
4. Italy (winner of 1 world cup)
5. England (winner of 1 world cup)

As much as I'd like to see the US qualify, I don't think they will. They are in the 2nd toughest group in the tournament after group C, also with the best African team in the tournament - Ghana.

England will win the World Cup. We DEFINITELY have the mental toughness, as the Blitz spirit will pull us through. Also, our club teams have shown in the last season or two how we never-say-die, and are well capable of coming back from behind to win a game - as Liverpool did against AC Milan in last season's European Cup Final when they were losing 3-0 at half time but still went on to win the game, and how Middlesbrough, in this season's UEFA Cup, came from 3-0 behind on aggegrate in BOTH the Quarter Final and Semi-Final and still came back to win both games. The English have a never-say-die attitude, and if any team has any great lead over England in a World Cup game - leading 3-0, say - then that team shouldn't be so confident that they will still win that game, as England win probably come back and win 4-3.

Neither Brazil nor Argentina will win the World Cup as only ONCE, in 1958, has any South American team won the World Cup in Europe.

That's because England are the 2nd-favourites, after Brazil.

So I think it's only right for the English to think they are one of the favourites.

Spain have never won the World Cup and only once have ever got past the Quarter Finals. They are gonna bottle it again this year.

I loved the way Beck croaked on his free kick last time. Hope he plays the same way this year!!!!

Watch out for those woosie Englanders lying in the fetal position on the ground crying for their mummies when they get knocked out of the way!
