Allright, with the greatest sporting event on the planet a week away from commencing, its about time we start discussing it here.

I am cheering for the US, but they aren't going to win.

So I'm cheering for England, but I doubt they'll win too. Not enough mental toughness.

Brazil has the best team, but South American teams don't win in Europe. So they won't win.

Germany is the host with a mediocre side, but always seems to do well. They'll get to the semi-finals but will lose.

Italy are a good side, but they're too deep into the Juve scandal, so they won't win.

So I'm picking France, despite some of their best players being past their prime. This will be Thierry Henry's tournament.

Spain as a darkhorse.

I think England will take it.
Germany might do well considering they have the home support (hello..France won in Paris after all, and the US did fairly well when the WC was in the States).

However..lets not undermind the Dutch and Swedes. They are fierce.

Italy might do well if they can put the scandle on the side for a bit.

France will be competetive, but i think the Italy scandle touches too many players on that team as well, so it will have about the same success as Italy (whatever that may be).

You do not think that you can put it like this Brazil is the huge favorite. I am supporting cheering for England and Sweden, where I think that England is the most serious bet on a winner. But I think that you are very wrong - and that you cannot at all put it like that. It is just some stupid statements that lack proper argumentation.

the aussie's wont do much I'm afraid, especially in a group with Brazil...it's England or France Gloss, you cant do both!! :p

besides, who said earlier that England cant win it?, they are definatly the best team in europe now, Germany are god awful, we did walk all over em 5-1, we've just walked over Argentina, Holland NEVER beat us in friendlies, France are getting old, we've not played italy much and lets face it, the other teams are a joke, trust me, IF England play Brazil in the semi's, it'll be the winner who wins the world cup

I hope that USA will do well this time as well, but they have got a tough group and will probaly have to beat Czech Republic, which I hope they can.

Iran will not make I am pretty sure about that.

Toro said the personal opinion. It's not the fact. You cannot call them "stupid statements." Tell us your opnion and we will see if what you said is gonna happen or what Toro said is gonna happen.

About prediction, we talk only about our opinion. We make these prediction based current knowledge and current situation. It's true that everyone has different point of view. So different predictions. One should not ignore the other person's opinion. Like you did. Because you are thinking Toro is wrong. And someone else has the right to think that you are wrong, too.

crikey...for what it's worth, the USA is the most over-rated team in the world, in no way deserving of their 6th placing, they wont get out of their group

Yeah I'm with you on that one Daz! You know what sucks........we have GOOD players! Just the team doesnt ever seem to work well together :( Having said that, we did beat Holland and Liechtenstein in friendlies.

But anyway, when we get knocked out.....its England all the way!!!!

Sure, Brazil is through, but the other two nations are Croatia and Japan. So the Socceroos have a chance.

Remember, there will be some big upsets. This group has a making of an upset.

Brazil is in group F. 1st in group F will play 2nd in Group E. I think Italy, which are generally slow starters and have the Juve scandal hanging over their heads, will finish behind the Czechs in the group. Thus, Brazil will play Italy in the second round. And I think Italy can and will win that game because they have the players and the tactical acumen to shut down the Brazillians.

ofcourse he has, com on, I'm English, there's nothing we love more than anything is an underdog, we hate winners, it's true, but even I think it's a bit too far fetched for either Aus or the US to do anything in the world cup, I mean, what would it mean to either country?

nothing I'm afraid, certainly not as much as pretty much every other country, and thats why, in my opinion they wouldnt really deserve it, plus they havent really got a chance, Bruce Arena's been in the game far too long already and Gus Hiddink is'nt really that good
