Hell hath no fury than a woman who thinks she's been scorned.
The Halifax Chronicle-Herald reported that a city woman scaled a barbed-wire fence and ran across the tarmac at Stanfield International Airport on Sunday to stop a plane from taking off.
She believed her husband was on the flight and was flying off to see another woman.
Airport spokesman Peter Spurway told the paper that the airport uses three metres of barbed wire at the top of the fence surrounding the airfield to keep security from being breached. Cameras, heat sensors and motion detectors are also installed at certain points along the fence's perimeter.
"I've been there (for more than) eight ... years and this is the first incident of its kind that I'm aware of," he told the Chronicle-Herald. "The fact that she was seen by the (navigation) tower very soon after she got on the airfield ... is important in that they were able to ensure that no aircraft ever came near her."
The RCMP says the woman was taken to hospital for a medical assessment.
"We contacted her partner who indicated that he was not on the aircraft," Sgt. Alain Leblanc told the paper.
The 37-year-old woman is not expected to face any charges.

As someone who lived in Halifax for over a decade and made signs and such for the airport, this story is hilarious, especially since the guy wasn't even on the plane in the first place.

He was probably with the other woman in his own bed having sent his wife to the airport with false 'intelegence'.
