Answer
Don't confuse the U.S. invasion of Irag as part of 'the war on Terrorism'. It is true though, that Canadian military contributions in Afganistan did free up U.S. forces to move to Iraq. If history serves, some 5000 Canadians in the Navy served in supply support in Viet Nam and some saw action. Similarily, now Canada has some Service personal attached to the U.S. military (exchange of service) but I have seen nothing to suggest that these troops were deployed in Iraq. It is my understanding that the Canadian government was carefull in avoiding 'boots on the ground' in Iraq and that these personnel were reassigned.

If I were you blue, I'd launch my e-mail client right now, and fire off a viscious nastygram to Ralph Klein in protest for the substandard curriculum as approved by the Alberta education system, if you cannot even figure out the symbolic reference in the word "Amerika"...
Never heard of the Afrika Korps?
I feel bad for you though, I really do...

You are all pathetic, racist, and bigots. The only reason you don't like the conservatives is because they are led by a western individual. This has been proven on many other posts by saying that some would vote for the conservatives if an Ontarian like Vacuous Belinda was leading them. You are pitiful.
Answer
This is what really scares me about the neo-cons. Get help, Please. Oh, Joe Clark was a westener, and a good man. I would vote for him over any of the polititions out there today. You should really try to broaden your sources and attempt to understand other cultures and points of view. Score 18,000 Iraqi civilians murdered by your buddy Bush. Did you know that Mulroney's business buddy was convicted in Germany. Mulroney 'short-circuited' the investigation involving his actions. Kind of like Cretien is trying to do with Gomery.
Get real, Joe Clark was a liberal in disguise, far from being a real conservative. We knew that in Alberta when he was elected. Now he is a cartoon character. How many of your 18,000 have been murdered by Iraqi terrorists, or what the left calls insurgents? How many of his own people did Saddam murder? How many terrorists did Saddam help train and how many murders were caused by these terrorists? You don't think that going after these guys works? Tell me, how has Qaddaffi in Libya been since Reagan bombed him? Quite the pacifist, now. Chretien tried to sue Mulroney and lost. What happened in Germany happened in Germany, so what? How about Jeans son in law being involved in the Iraqi Oil for Food scam, with the knowledge of the head of the UN? How about the ongoing sleaze by the current liberal government? Allegations and confirmation of the allegations by liberal party members. Repeat: By Liberal party members.

I am far superior to you blue, by merit of the fact that I do not support socially regressive neo-conservative would-be regimes...
The sooner you learn that, the better off you'll be...
Reverend Blair said:The problem with all of that, Tightwad, is that Harper is really just the leader of the yahoos. He's a terrible politician, and for that I'm thankful, but the Conservatives are still very much the Reform Party that Canadians were afraid of under Preston Manning, and the Alliance we were afraid of under Doris Day.
Next to watch a vote in the H of C, look at who is standing up to vote. These are not nice moderate, reasonable people. The closest thing they have left for moderates are people who were (or would have been) hardliners under Mulroney.
true, they did choose him as their leader... but in typical extremist fashion, they'll eat him alive in front of Canada
canuckster said:I'm surprised at some of the posting going on here. Canadians need to send a strong message to politicians saying they will not tolerate corruption, thievery, and dishonesty. The only way to do this is vote them out. How can anyone stick up for the liberals after what is coming out is beyond me. These people are in denial.
