Why is there only one begotten son of God? Is he you?

You seem to be interpreting "son" as biological. I can't explain what Christians think "son" means in Bible, but a simple explanation is that it's not literally biological in all iterations, just as it's used in normal everyday language.

I'm thinking Gawd f*cked Gaia, and the reason Jesus is the "only begotten" is that Gawd was so bad in bed Gaia refuses to get nasty with Him again.

Understood, thanks.

I cannot agree with you on what Christians think.

If we take the biological and humanity out of Jesus, then sacrificing some wholly supernatural creature become meaningless to us as then we cannot associate the suffering with human suffering. Jesus and his sacrifice, not that it happened in reality as far as we can know, would be wasted. No?

A man can suffer and die. God cannot.

So I guess the Earth didn't move for her?

I don't mean to say the Jesus isn't a man. I mean the word "son" in reference to God's creations and Jesus is not necessarily biological. Since Jesus is seen simultaneously as a man, the son of God, and God himself, it means the definition of "son" is a little more complicated.

Indeed. It becomes complicated as hell when an intelligible idea like the Trinity comes into play.

St. Patrick deserves a good slap.

I can follow them easily. It seems that this forum is even less capable of a religious discussion than a political one. Christians have intelligent arguments to counter some of the things French Patriot says. They would just rather scream and spit.

I agree with you on the quality of the posting of late.

It seems few here have a life and do not want to think and only care about their inane idiocies.

No wonder many of the religious hierarchies are crying out for better apologists as they see their numbers leave in droves.
