Why is the Swiss crime rate not through the roof?

Then you support gun control....congradulations.:thumbright:

There's a radical difference between let's say Swiss gun control vs Canadian. Here it's mostly just bureaucracy and paper pushing; there it's about actually teaching you to use the weapon property.

And yes I agree that the situation in the US is a little insane where you need no gun education at all it would seem.

Still....a form of gun control.

Better than a 7 day waiting period that Americans go nuts about.

In Canad you still need some form of training.

....but in the end if you really want a legal gun all you have to do is get off your a$$ and do it...is it easy?..no...nor should it be.

Do you mean crime rate or gun deaths, as I am assuming this is about gun ownership? There are a number of factors influencing both areas, including societal attitudes, social programs, and standard of living. Crime, and particularly murder is affected by many factors. To list just a few - What fraction of the population lives in ghetto-like conditions? How much social disparity is there? Does the country have a drug problem? The list could be much longer, but you probably get the idea.

A few other countries have such an army too, though granted Switzerland's is the most famous.

Since when does Switzerland enter into any Canadian news, other than their hiding the rich peoples money to hide taxes from their own country. Not to mention the Swiss's ability to look the other way, when it comes to hiding illegal funds as well.
Their banks, watches, mountains and their cheese. That's it!! Their crime rate figures have never been mentioned in our country. The Swiss are not famous for their army. Their army is solely for their own self defence. The Swiss are neutral and contribute very little, except to themselves,
