An acquaintance of mine has those 'white' ATM's around Ontario that no one should use, but that's another story.
Last week he was alerted by one of the Banks Fraud team that something was going on with one of his machines.
Sure enough he met them and there was a 'skimmer' added to it and around $48 thousand had been removed from people's bank accounts and/or cash advances via credit cards as a result.
He showed me pics of the skimmer and it was unbelievably undetectable.
I have always used cash and simply take enough out for the week. Never had a problem................
