Mulroney? Worst Canadian. Oh come on. Flawed person who made mistakes, mabey. I think there have to be worse offenders to Canadian-ness than that. Picton at least was truely terrible.
Paul Martin for his flying a foreign flag on his ships to avoid Canadian taxes and then having the gual to run for PM of Canada.
After reading the rest of the topic I have to add honourable mention to Celen Dion. This is what the rest of the world thinks of when you say "Canadian". *shudder*

As a group,our snowbirds should be nominated as worst Canadians..my uncle and aunt for example, lived in Fla. for 8 mos of the year & only summered in N.S.
I find it hard to blame old folks for wanting to get away from bone-chilling cold. Every year I hate the winter more, what will I be like in fifty years?
The worst Canadian is the TV boob who thinks that the antics of Paris Hlton and Anna Nicole Smith are worthy of attention...
The worst Canadian is a hockey/basketball/entertainer enthusiast who thinks that because enough people are stupid enough to pay the ticket prices for some jerk to make a million while foodbanks dot the Canadian landscape has a point of view or an opinion in any way connected to the experiences of the average Joe or Jane Canadian.
The worst Canadian is the pathetic lazy apathetic moron filling his SUV at the gaspumps then proceeding to park in line..leaving his engine running... around a Tim Hortons Donut shop and sits complaining about the way things are....
The worst Canadaian is the man or woman who willingly confuses democracy with consuption and while celebrating this delusion in Walmart or Zellers or the local big box store...muses about the sweatshops and poverty in nations like China and Mexico where slave wages provide the trinkets and amusements that Canadians love to throw into landfills....

Now, I think its funny you think somehow paying sports stars millions means the food banks would get money.
The choice is does the owner make billions, or does he split some of that money with the sport stars. The food banks are not getting anything either way, and your ticket prices aren't going down.

Let me clarify this issue for you...
Harold Ballard who's already been mentioned by someone else....Roberto Allomar who sets the example of spitting on the umpire....Baskeball players and hockey players who teach children and become the idols of raging hormonal soup sloshing around in teenagers...see that brutality and savagery is a "normal" part of sports....
A lying theiving arsehole stood up in the House of Commons begging the Canadian government to invest twenty million dollars in the Ottawa Senators franchise..... yes they weren't given the money but the numbers of foodbanks homeless people and people living on the edge has increased tremendously while hockey goons date government celebrities and moronic Canadians pay exorbitant ticket prices to crooked managers and sports franchises owned by multi-millionaires...
Canadians are so stupid they believe that Bono and several other entertainment superstars who've managed to squeeze themselves into photo shoots with politicians actually have any appreciation for those of us depending on foodbanks.
Natives are dying on reserves while our politicians flit around the globe on luxury executive jets....who do you think is responsible? Surely it's all a hidden agenda and secret manipulation of these fat cats by all the poor people ...right?

If there was no sports to buy tickets to see, do you think Joe season ticket holder would spend his money on a foodbank? And not to mention all the jobs lost which support our sports franchises. These people would not be paying taxes straining resources for all Canadians. In addition, some of them would likely find themselves using foodbanks. I don't think the issues are related. And I refuse to be grouped as some sort of foodbank hater because I go to the occasional Blue Jay game.
