I always think of it more in terms of a wolf pack, Pycrete...each member of the pack has its role to play. Good examples though.

Getting rid of the current system of corporate capitalism sounds good, but I'd sure hate to see the small family business and farm fade away. Oh gee, that's happening now isn't it.

When somebody says that gay couples do nothing to further the human race, then you are completely misled. The world is facing SERIOUS shortages of many items because of the massive growth in population. In a decade or so, we could have serious Internation problems spralling the globe unlike now which is limited to certain regions. (IE. China, India, Africa).

Gay couples keep the population in control hense making everybody's lives easier and more livable. Think about it, if you had no gay people, the world might as well be over by now... or it would just be a world that none of us know.

I remember seeing a science program on TV quite a few years ago on this subject.

The program followed a study on mice (or perhaps rats) living in one of those interconnected tubes and cages for pet rodents. Initially only a few animals were placed within the structure. They were allowed to breed normally and given regular nutrition, and everything was cool in rodent land. As the population grew in the structure, a number of changes started to occur in the rodents behaviour, fighting, infantcide, and homosexual behaviour were a few that I could remember.

As I recall, the program and the rodent experiment was presented a commentary on overpopulation rather than homosexuality but it was suggested that these behaviours go hand in hand.
