Whitecourt?

Does anyone live there? I am supposed to go and visit a friend there. I am from Vancouver and heard Whitecourt is kinda in the boonies...What's it like there cold? boring? please inform me.

Gah...what the hell would you want to do going to whitecourt.

I have family in Mayerthorpe & Whitecourt (close enough)...and while its nice if you like farm villages in the summer, the winter is blah. Blahhhhhhhhhh.

Furthermore, its nothing but a truck stop/industry town. I'm serious.

On the other hand, if you are going to relax, take it easy and want to do things like snowmobile and horse ride and stuff, than go for it. Besides, you are visiting your friend, not the city.

Oh, sounds not so fun. I feel bad for my friend, he's a city boy but went to Whitecourt to work on the oil rigs...poor guy must be bored out of his mind.

Whitecourt isn't that bad, it's essentially a suburban community about 5 min from Edmonton...The city isn't that far. It's not like you're going to Boyle or Grassland.

Whitecourt is a good hour and a half or so away from the city.

It's like over an hour brother....and it's a shithole.
