I'm the kind of person that likes to sit back, observe, and contemplate scenarios from my observations. I look around lately, and I find our current earthly predicament and see no real solution to the problems we'll face in the century. The planet seems to have to big and still expanding population. A population that all want to live well. To live well it requires the use of resources. These resources are starting to dwindle and this want can't be forfilled. Oil the life blood of industrialization that allows for higher quality of life is starting to come up in short supply in comparison with demand, and has recently hit an all-time high in price. Considering the exstensive use of oil in producing most goods including the growing and transportation of food, to the production of most consumer goods and their shipping. These rises in oil-price are going to effect the total cost of living for everyone, and will increase inflation. As inflation increases, which is really just the devaluing of the dollar, the American dollar in particular, it will in turn cause the price of oil to rise once again and it will eventually hyperinflate. Currently we're at or very near the a hyperinflation exponent of 1. Within one year it will hit 2, and then 4 and the time between inflation will decrease. To put it simply, we have three years until much of the world will succumb to economic collapse. It's likely that this stress will cause tensions to rise between countries and conflicts to start up over the resources necessary for a stable economy.
My conclusion is that the good times are over. Are rapid expansion of both industry and population has drained our resources to the point where neither is now sustainable. We're going to have to make hard decisions about how we plan to deal with both of these situations, and there is no easy way to do this for either given the circumstances we face.
What's your opinion about our current problems and where the world migh be heading?

RE: Where is the world go

If oil prices continue to rise at their current rate, people will not be able to afford anything. That will increase the poverty rate, and one by one, each country will have an economic collapse.
