Dark Side Rumsfeld and Darth Chaney are negatives to the Republican hopes for re-election. I wouldn't be surprised if Bush ENGINEERED some war or terrorist activity to scare the public into voting for him again. They have little control in Iraq, (except for the oil fields) and are LOSING control in Afghanistan.
by the way, I think 'Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition' is from WW ONE!

Excuse me for saying something even somewhat cryptic.

I didn't specify a single time period for anything. It didn't have a single thing to do with any particular war. It was a general statement about double standards.

Soliders saying that they were fighting in the name of god to help free the heathens when they were killing people left and right.

Rumsfeld's future in sunk that is for sure, in the time after Sept 11th though he was a rock for the administration when Bush clearly had weak knees.

The rest of your post doesn't deserve a response.

The LA Times was wondering what happened to Rummy too.

With War Losing Support, Rumsfeld Stages a Retreat: The once-ubiquitous Defense chief is seldom seen in public. Is he busy or deemed a liability?

The White House, which coordinates which administration officials appear on the networks' news-making Sunday talk shows, has not lined up a Rumsfeld interview for months, although a senior administration official, speaking on condition of anonymity, denied that the White House did not want Rumsfeld speaking out.

And on a Bush elsewhere...

And we can't count on Cheney and the ranking cabinet officers to do the right thing under the 25th Amendment by informing the president pro tempore of the Senate and the speaker of the House that Bush is unable to "discharge the powers and duties" of the office he holds.

Cheney may be game to do it, but there is this chilling remark an unnamed "senior Homeland Security aide" made to Capitol Hill Blue, "Too many make the mistake of thinking Dick Cheney is the real power in the Bush administration. They're wrong. It's Ashcroft and that is reason enough for all of us to be very, very afraid."

Bush's arm got tired from where he had it crammed up Rummy's rear, working his mouth with his hand. Carpal Tunnel. Give him a bit and he'll be back.

Either that or he has a moral obligation to only tell the same lies twice, and therefore has nothing else to say.

Does anyone here knows why Donald Rumsfeld disappeared from the news all of a sudden? We don't see him or hear from him anymore. Was he told to keep his mouth shut?

Better to be quiet and thought of as an idiot than to speak and be known as one!!..
