There was a little post I read once where the mods were talking about ditching the funny ranking system... looks like they did. Too bad... i thought it was cute.

i like the new system because it makes more sense. But i think it needs more divisions. when some guy gets to active member they have to make 1500 posts more to get another level... not that it matters but to me it has been a source of interest to me to watch my status change

Agreed Herm. I was slowly building posts but my rank sounded good. I wonder how you get to be an irregular member? Too much cheese?:)

We might still revamp it, but I'd need some suggestions. I think the old system was yes, funny but didn't really make sense.
How about turning everyone into gods and demigods. I'm sure there's a couple models for that sorta thing around; I know hindus have dozens of gods and lesser gods and demigods and whatnot. Could make a newbie a human till they have 100 posts, then a demigod like Hercules till 500 posts , etc.

people think that all the time but they're wrong. obviously, since they're not me.

My wife frequently tells me I am the lord God almighty, and doesn't use this forum at all.

hermanntrude comes from ermintrude, and hermann, which is my name
