I'm still working on getting the old style of the forum back. I had to throw this template together because the data from the old forum was finally imported correctly into the new software/database. I am still gradually converting the look and feel over, and I've already taken user suggestions such as an increase in text size and implemented them.
Well, this software change was one way to curb my addiction here.
Yes, please get back the old look. Also I hope we aren't going to keep a rating system on the forums. I think it gets to be a little juvenile to start rating forums or posts and I say this before it gets widely used.
Polls are great for the democracy of this forum, but ratings systems alternatively can act as a form of a condemnation by a collective mentality that can disregard the substance someone can contributes. I don't even support a rating system that can be used against people I feel are totally out to lunch.
The best way of dealing with content is intelligent rebuttal. A rating system will be a step downward from my appreciation of the fair discussion that has been conducted on here.
Maybe a rating system for the jokes board. I dunno. But politics, religion, philosophy, etc.? I rate your religion (x stars). Am I making my point?
