RE: What Cell Phone Are y

I have an Audiovox from PC (Super store).
It is cheap and works well. I go to the mountain lakes to flyfish and it is the only cell phone that works at all my lakes. Most cell phones do not switch to analogue so do not work in the remote lakes I go to.

I use a Telus LG. The features include a ringer, an ear piece and a mic. A technological marvel.

After reading Steven Kings new novel cell, I flushed mine down the toilet. I don't wanna spend the rest of my life drooling. It was a rotter of book, spiff nasty boring.

RE: What Cell Phone Are y

I have a Motorola V551. While I can say that it is better in most aspects compared to my old phone, I have to say that it is a very slow phone. Slow as in it takes time for the phone to respond to various actions and or events.

It's got some neat but useless features... such as photo id when somebody calls. However, the feature is so slow that by the time the picture comes up of the person that is calling you, the phone will have ringed 3 times already. Slow.

Another useless feature and poor design is the camera/video capability. It's got a poor design in that the photo lens is recessed and not flush with the surface of the phone. If you carry the phone in your pocket, this recessed area will collect lots of lint, dust, and whatever. So when you take a picture, you get some nice fog effects to go along with it. Cleaning this area is a pain too because your fingers cannot get into this area easily and you pretty much need to twist a tissue or something into a stick-like object into order to get in there to clean it. The video is pretty much useless without their software to convert it into something that can be played on the computer. The resolution of the pictures are not something to phone home about.

the good things about this phone is that it is built very well. It is not flimsy. It has good reception (compared to my old phone) as I can make and receive calls from my house now. I like the fact that I can change the ring settings without having to open it up... quick and easy feature when you go into a movie theatre. it is also a GSM based phone which means that I can use around the world as soon as I get it unlocked.

OOHKKAAYY..anywhoo..

I have a Treo 700. I got it because I became tired of carrying a cell and palm pilot. The best creation on earth in my mind.......

I love it specifically because I have a phone, and a palm organizer in one, which is needed because I get busy and do tend to forget stuff!! It has been a life saver for me...

I read that book too. I think Stevie got his brains a little too mushed in his car accident. Gerald's Game kept me up for nights on end when I read it.

But at any rate, I have a Motorola 850 or so.. And Nextel...the verdict is still out on what I think of them

I've got a Motorola i560, which is a PCS and Mike Network phone, (Nextel in US),and have been using mobile phones scince 1986. I find simple is good. Text msg etc. is for people who can't formulate a sentence, or spell for that matter.

The only reason I have a cell phone is that's how I do business. I couldn't give a hoot about any other features other than the ability to talk to a customer. If I didn't need it for business I'd toss the damn thing in the garbage.
