From the dusty may sun, her looming shadow grows
Hidden in the branches of the poison creosote
She twines her spines up slowly towards the boiling sun,
And when I touched her skin, my fingers ran with blood.
In the hushing dusk, under a swollen silver moon,
I came walking with the wind to watch the cactus bloom.
And strange hands halted me; the looming shadows danced.
I fell down to the thorny brush and felt a trembling hand.
When the last light warms the rocks and the rattlesnakes unfold,
Mountain cats will come to drag away your bones.
And rise with me forever across the silent sand,
And the stars will be your eyes and the wind will be my hands.

A Soft Murmur
I love the sound of rainfall and thunder. Also, the sounds of a flowing river with lots of rapids.

Another sound that I loved was the light tapping of snow flakes on a tin roof while siting in front of a crackling fire.

Nature sounds relax the mind to be sure.

It's one of the reasons I love to go camping. Nobody around, just the sound of the water lapping at the shore. The wind in the trees. The birds chattering. Especially the call of ravens.

Obama's Town Hall - very interesting.

I learned that two manufacturer's of hand guns, Smith and Wesson being one of them and I think Colt was the other - developed a technology that puts a chip in a weapon which prevents anyone other than the owner who wears a bracelet that communicates with the chip, from being able to fire the weapon. Unfortunately or not, depending on your stance - the NRA among others lobbied against the idea and the companies dropped the idea.

OOps..............put that in the wrong topic........then - considering that I am reading posts while I listen - maybe not.

I worked today. I'm mostly left. Of course only reactionary politicos care what Rush is doing on any given day.

Never mind. Smells like teen spirit and formaldehyde.
