I'm not a big big fan of Skrillex. But all things Reggae or Dance Hall, I dig. Make it Bun Dem was a real good mix.

I like pretty much everything in small doses. If you sort through what all I've posted in this thread you won't find many unifying themes. lol.

I have noted a pretty eclectic taste on your part. You should have seen the look on my oldests face when he heard Skrillex blaring from my office the other day, lol.

He thinks because I'm over 40, I shouldn't be allowed to like it, lol.

Mine were the same for a while. The youngest migrated to the wifes enjoyment of country. The oldest has my tastes for indy, punk and alternative. But they both have a solid base built on the classics, CCR, Cash, Hooker, Johnson, and so on.

had to check out an old song by Donna Summer who passed away today:

DONNA SUMMER - I FEEL LOVE (Versión Disco) - YouTube

Can you believe some folks accused her of being a tranny in those days? In fact, a DJ I knew actually swore she was one.

Aaron Copland's "Tender Land".

Walter - for some reason, it appears as if I gave you a negative on your post. Very sorry - don't know how it happened as my PC is screwy tonight. Will make up for it ....

Listening to my daughter start to learn the Bach Chaconne.

From Wiki:
Violinist Joshua Bell has said the Chaconne is "not just one of the greatest pieces of music ever written, but one of the greatest achievements of any man in history. It's a spiritually powerful piece, emotionally powerful, structurally perfect."[3] Johannes Brahms, in a letter to Clara Schumann, said about the ciaccona:
On one stave, for a small instrument, the man writes a whole world of the deepest thoughts and most powerful feelings. If I imagined that I could have created, even conceived the piece, I am quite certain that the excess of excitement and earth-shattering experience would have driven me out of my mind.[4]
