Hey! Rick van Opbergen

The point of the story was that I should of just spent 3 thousand on equipment like my competition did. Nobody cared anway!

Secondly; I could of hired an MC and if he failed to show, no big deal. But, I had a 25 thousand dollar loan at the bank.

And finally; I never thought I would be too microphone shy! Remember, I spoke in public all the time as local union president.
I once attended a district conference where 10 thousand people were and gave a 22 minute presentation. Steven Lewis was there.
But, I couldn't say "Let's Boogie".
I felt totally out of character in that environment.
Pretty amazing, eh?

This disc jockey service was part-time. A hobby. I was employed full time as a union executive.

One of these days I'll need to tell you about the time I constructed my own bed and entered it into a bed race which took place in the town every year.
Wait til yuh hear the worries I had then.
Wait til yuh hear how much the bed cost me!
But, we did win the race. We were 2 minutes ahead of the pack!

Calm.

Hey Paranoid, why not tell us about what you went through in the days (weeks? months?) before this bed race in your town? :) I mean, I'm really enjoying your stories, so I don't see not a reason to tell us about this :) I've also noticed that you have been a union leader. Cool! How did you end up to be a union leader?

Hey! Rick van Opbergen

I never wrote the story here because this is a music thread. I already felt guilty enough writing page after page about a disc jokey service. But, I couldn't resist.

Maybe you and I could trade funny stories over in another thread or something. You could call it "Our Stories" maybe? :D
Not "Bad News" stories. Not stories where yuh gotta wear a surgical mask just to read it.

Funny stories.

But, it is your turn now.
I already gave you a story.
