Washington Capitulates: Peak Oil Is Real

At least THAT kind of energy. This seems fine to me. Soon I will be using electricity and synthetic lubes.

But the electrical grid is made with oil, lots of cheap oil.

But I won't be "filling up" from the grid. For one thing, we don't have a grid here, and for another I'll be getting solar energy. So unless someone found oil on the sun to process, no oil is involved unless it's lubing the machines that made the panels and other gear. At any rate, my little pickmeup truck will be petroleum free soon.

Solar energy panels? Made from cheap oil. Sure they will still be made when oil is very expenisve, but there will be less of them. Oil makes the machines. Solar power does not make much on its own.
