Great word..never heard of it before..I will check it out...By the way..I am french. As such I think in french..The neat thing about it is.

In french when one speaks. They always make the point of a sentence first and then elaborate on it...

In english its the opposite...one elaborates and eventually gets to the point...

So that may help you to understand my style of writing..

Daniel, you should pick one topic at a time for discussion. Your posts have so much going on I frankly don't read any of it. All the links and stuff are overboard. It looks more like spam than anything. Pick a topic and talk about it.

I did pick a topic...

It's about the total deception we have been fed all our lives...

Fortunately serious critical readers will read the whole thing and will check the links..

By exploring other avenues of information one only grows wiser and better able to make decisions....

So I guess you've never been in a library...Any book there would obviously have to much info in it for you...

It is already fully democratic. Now you need to elect politicians like Chavez.

No it isn't, Harper holds office with 36% of the votes, so in reality it isn't even (50%) half democratic.
You know that you're deflecting the issue with that one. The entire country gets a chance to elect a representative. Why aren't the majority electing Chavez types? They can, there is nothing stopping it now.

But that's the game in Canada. Its a Parliamentary democracy. How many governments - both provincial and federal - have been elected with 50%+ of the vote over the past 50 years? 5%? 10%?

You'd have a hard time arguing with a straight face that Canada is not a democracy.

I agree Toro.

Like every "democracy" Canadians live in the democracy of money... The machinery that gets erected by "parties" relies on contributions. Contributors "invest" in political campaigns that have demonstrated interest in their (the contributors) agendas. Frequently those agendas include things like re-vamping trade agreements.... No not very often when the rule of money and power is supported through existing "agreements"...and only rarely will those "agreements" be honored by either signatory to the document. In the case of the U.S. of course, notwithstanding any agreement, levies can be charged at the border when the profits aren't what they were expected to be... It's all about money Toro, just like Anemia...er America....
