350,000 employees of Walmart had life insurance policies taken out and paid by their great employer; only problem was that employees did not know. Walmart collected and continue to collect when employees pass away, but they've been caught so stopped this creepy practice !! In the US, there are still a few states that allow big business to take life insurance of staff, and still without their knowledge. Yikes !!

What about small business? If I had a business I'd take out ins. on my best employees, it just make sense.

I will side with SLM on this one even though I don't like her the bulk of the time. Walmart is an a$$hole on this one. There are more important things than the friggin bottom line. That by the way is a pragmatic philosophy as well if you take the time to think about it.

Not to a corporation, there ain't. A corporation is obligated by law to maximize shareholder value.

A fitting end would have been that he gets up and gives the finger to the one that fired him and say, " I never liked the job all that much anyway,' and then walks away with a swagger in his walk.
