I would vote for the Canadian Alliance. I'm a member and I would vote for them because they have a better sense of conservatism than Joe Clark, and I have never and would never vote Liberal. Also, it would be nice to have someone from the west to be prime minister (Harper) for a change.

Im also a member of the CA and I would vote for them as well. Harper has a much better grasp on things than most of the other party leaders, and well lets face it a MUCH better grasp on the party than Day did.

It would be nice for someone from the West to become PM, but with all the pressure the East would be giving them, I doubt we'd benefit much from it, although I do agree it could only get better out here.

Harper? Please tell me you guys are kidding! He is pretending to be the invisible man. His party is now behind the PC party in national support. He is not the right man to lead a party. He does NOT inspire confidence. He comes across as a scared little boy.
The Alliance has a few good members, but they never elect the right ones since Manning. Day and Harper are not natural leaders. A leader should ooze confidence and a presence of power. Those two wimps are not head turners or headline makers for good things.
Still better Harper than Paul Martin and his Liberals.

I am confused what leaders have we had in our history have we had that oozed anything other then how well they can turn on there word and how well they can mess up things. And in the end it does not matter cause we as candians just lay down and take whatever they decide to do and we do nothing about it. Lets face it we are ruled by that big country beside us. When they say jump we just do as we are told like good little puppies. Hoping for a bone.

LOL!!!!

czardogs: face it there is no "right" person to lead this country, all you can do is vote for someone and if they get elected cross your fingers during their term in office. I dont think any party could screw things up any worse than the NDP did.

That was funny, but we was our leader for longer than any other Prime Minister and yet did the most and did the least amount of damage. He lead Canada to major power status during world war 2. Only knock, he was a dirty Liberal.

Klaus, I dont think anyone is even remotely thinking of voting liberal after the mess they have gotten this country into, then again it all comes down to whatever Ontario votes. Its not a fair system IMHO. It needs much more work.... We need to be a republik :)

I live in the GTA, and have lived here for a large portion of my life! I'm an alliance supporter.

BTW, I would really like to see Mike Harris leading this country for PC.
