I believe welfare is necessary in our society to help the "needy" and the "needy" only. There is nothing I hate more than someone who takes advantage of the system. If you have a job and you have been laid off and you have no money, by all means use welfare for the 2 or 3 months it takes you to get back on your feet.

Unfortunately there are too many people who make welfare a career choice. Welfare may not be much fun, but it's a hellava lot fun than working for a living for some.

It would be more like a friend of yours destroying a town and giving you the right to open up the only building supply store in that same town and be the only building contractor. Why, gee, that would make you a welfare recipient. Hmm

You are a lost cause. Society revolves around business. You seem to forget that business keeps us all alive. If it wasn't for businesses, we would all be growing our food in our back yards. I would think that you love big business. It will be tough to unionize a mom and pop operation but I'm sure you'll think of a way.

Since you know so much on this matter, shows us all how brilliant you are by naming those 13 or 14 families.

Then we can continue our debate.

Until then I will assume that you are a liar.

Would you be kind enough to direct me to a link that proves or even suggests that these families own 95% of the worlds wealth?

Thanks.

You referred me to a self admitted conspiracy theory site about the illuminati.

These are the same people that think aliens are in control of the world. They claim that we are all brainwashed because we think we had booster shots as children but in fact they were mind altering drugs.

I'm sorry, but I can't take this site seriously.

Reverend Blair, when I hear Bin Laden speaking, I think he hates the US more than just its foreign policy. Luckily Bin Laden only speaks for a minority within the umma.

EDIT: I know it's a kinda ... late reaction :) Point is that I didn't notice there were two pages of discussion behind your comment Rev ... so don't take it like I'm just trying to comment your posts only

Thers two there crit but go ahead and bury your head in the sand thats what most consevatives do .Anything that dosn't fit your agenda is a conspiracy theory.Rumsfeld saying he never said there was weapons of mass destruction its a conspiracy an urban legend.Just like the mass media saying just a few years ago there is no Bilderberg group its a conspiracy therory.Just go ahead and dismiss it .We really know who is brainwashed here

I didn't say bin Laden though, Ricky...I said the Muslims. Osama plays on that to gain followers. His initial protestations were because of the US being in Saudi Arabia and the first war on Iraq though, as well US actions throughout the Middle East.

I see the "minuteman project" or whatever they call them selves are headed to patrol the Mexico/Arizona border watching for illegals trying to come into America. They have guns, so would that be considered vigilante justice? What if they kill someone? They claim border patrol is not happy they are there but no government official is trying to stop them.
Story here or their hompage here

I hope this is the right forum for this. Any thoughts?

Isn't Bin Laden a Muslim as well? Osama was already active as a muhadjedin in Afghanistan (you remember? he got his money and equipment from the US ...), and after that he was also in Bosnia fighting the "Christian invaders" ... for what I know Bin Laden is not only doing what he does because he hates the US for being on Saudi Arabian ground (as an initial reason), but I think even more because he hates the "decadent lifestyle" of the West.
