The whole trial has become a bit of a circus. Huge moneymaker for courtroom players. And that's what Canadian justice has become: a self-serving arena for its key, well compensated participants. Common sense died a long time ago. Virtually every other sector of our life has been modernized except courtroom procedure and protocols. I wonder why. Lawyers and law inhabit a dark, arcane world. We can't affort their silliness.
