It's very close. The people are backing Green in hopes of not being run out of their homes by the Olympics. The money is backing Sullivan because they can sell/rent more homes to visitors and perhaps buyers...
It's a close call. Sucks that both leading parties of the provincial govt picked such a time to try to ram a hefty pay raise for themselves through the legislature. Major faux pas...
Now we are down to: Who's gonna go for the pocket first? Who might decide to hit up the OC and hanger's on? Who is better at begging, and getting those investment dollars in the face of such adversity? Who cares where the people go?
It's a close race folks. Details at 11 PM PST : ) today

Well I went and voted Independant in My town. Voted for Randhawa Joginder Singh. Doug McCallum is an old tired conservative who has to go and Watts was just an opportunist and former McCallum cohert.

Surrey needed a change and Singh was the only one who came to door. Had a nice chat with him and made my decision easy to what Independant to support.

Hopefully Jim Green gets in in Vancouver.

Well Sam Sullivan won by just over 4000. Good for him. Out here in Surrey (second largest city in BC and not much smaller than Vancouver and will be larger in 20-25 years) McCallum got the big old boot out. Right on. :) Diane Watts won to become our first ever female Mayor. So that is good. Not sure where the candidate I voted for finished, it will be either 3rd,4th or 5th.

So what's everyone think of Sullivan arranging for office space for JAMES Green? If that was Gamesmanship, it was pretty damn clumsy....

i am personally appalled. i thought better of sam. i figgered green would be ousted on the basis that he is too real, looks like he might even know what he is talking about, might even care about the people who actually live in vancouver, think about the under $25,000 a year families. but there ya go eh? sam had to give it a good boot up the hoop to make it. yeah. that sam i am cares a LOT about the pps not in his neighbourhood. we'll see what happens. yah, bc is liberal and freedom loving, that's what make it so awesome here. big money, bad attitude, sneaky ways, not good.
