I think he should have been found guilty of involuntary manslaughter at the very least. I'm not sure I understand why the Steinle's law suit was dismissed by a judge because the City of SF should be held liable for not reporting this man to ICE. But then, I'm not a lawyer. In my humble mind, however, if they want to be a "sanctuary city" they need to take responsibility if something happens due to their decision to let illegal immigrants go, especially if they have a history of law breaking as this guy did!
