I have an Ontario driving licence. I know that most US states don't share their driver database with Ontario. Meaning, I can keep their speeding tickets as souvenirs. I would like to know the states that do share this info with Ont....just for "reference"....
thanks in advance
I don't believe that any do. "Just for reference" you might want to consider if you will ever return to the US. A friend of mine headed down to Virginia last year, with his wife and son (age 9). At the border, he was asked to step into the office, where he was interrogated for a while. It seems that he had a speeding ticket from 1980 that was unpaid. Although he had crossed the border many times, this had never come up, and in fact he didn't even recall the ticket.
Luckily for him, while his son said, "Dad are you going to jail?????", the border guard looked at him, and said: Who is going to drive your car for the rest of your trip in this state? My friend answered...."my wife, of course"...to which the guard said, "okay, I should call the state Troopers and have them arrest you, but....make sure that YOU do not drive in this state until you clear this up" and let him go.
