You're absolutely right.. I was too high.. and it's a 1 brdm condo.

That means nothing. Doesn't show usage or any of the other billing charges. As far as I know, you had a $500 credit sitting on your account.

If I had a $500 credit I would owe $34 dollars Duh?

My average bill is about $35 to $45 per month.. if you pay more.. sucks to be you.. you might want to check to see if your neighbours are tapped into your powerline..

We do make an effort to turn off lights and I have installed power saving bulbs..

One time I got a bill in the summer for $65 I was in shock.. running the air conditioner to much I guess.

Yup, you're damn near as stupid as angstrom.

Ya, my 2 boys, who live in tiny little one bedroom condos also only pay 40-50 bucks a month for electricity only. I live in a 3 bedroom 2 story with a basement, hot tub, and AC. So my bills are more in line with what the average is in Alberta. A fu ck of a lot more than 40-50 a month.

Your whole implication in this thread is that you are typical of what albertans pay. You are not. The average Albertan family pays a hell of a lot more than a single former american wannabe living in a one bedroom rental in forest lawn.

Northern Ontario,
The amount of your bill is irrelevant
The rate is the important part of your bill and that can be doubled as your delivery fee is usually equal to your usage
eg:
