I think he keeps saying that he “doesn’t care” about the midterm elections, just like through his life he probably “didn’t care” that his dick might’ve been below average, etc…as another line of bullshit.

Coming this Sunday…Trumps 80th Birthday!!
Specific plans for the broadcast on Sunday, June 14, have been scarce so far. White has suggested that a portion of the undercard may air for free on CBS, with the top fights held in reserve for Paramount+ subscribers, but no exact schedule has been released as of yet.
The South Lawn will only hold about 4,000 fans for the UFC fights. Sponsorship packages for those seats (which are "technically free,") are reportedly going for as much as $1.5 million for a ringside view.
In a recent story from "The Hollywood Reporter," executives from both TKO and Paramount suggested that one primary goal for the event is to drive signups on Paramount+, the streaming service that's home to all UFC events under a behemoth seven-year, $7.7 billion deal.
Spokeswoman Rachel Reisner said in a statement: "There is far too much to celebrate about this great nation to let noise and division distract from the incredible moment ahead - and we look forward to welcoming millions of Americans to a fair that belongs to all Americans."
As a network, CBS is available in almost every home in America that contains a television set. Paramount+, on the other hand, has reported somewhere around 80 million subscribers. If the UFC were to air some of the White House event prelim bouts on CBS, but keep the title fights in the main and co-main event exclusively on Paramount+, that could significantly limit the overall reach.
Everyone else, meanwhile, will be in the Ellipse, across the street from the South Lawn, where the UFC plans to have a massive watch party. Attendees won't be able to see the fight in person, but they'll be in a makeshift arena watching on jumbotrons.
Even if every single existing Paramount+ subscriber watched this event, the UFC would still need to pick up an additional 45 million viewers either through new subscriptions or other broadcast methods in order to hit the goal of "Super Bowl-type numbers." It's not impossible, but it's also not easy.

(Donald Trump owns shares in TKO Group Holdings, but he does not own shares in Paramount. There is no public record of Donald Trump owning shares in Paramount. TKO has a seven-year broadcasting agreement with Paramount to air UFC events on CBS and Paramount+, but Trump has no reported financial equity in Paramount itself)

If it's truly a celebration of America, shouldn't it be available to all Americans? Or at least those with a TV? Then again, maybe there is something quintessentially American about charging a subscription fee even for our big birthday bash (on Donald Trumps’s, not America’s, birthday).

Days before this event to celebrate Trumps Americas Trumps (?) birthday, some details are announced. CBS will not televise the UFC’s event at the White House Sunday, June 14, UFC CEO Dana White told reporters, according to MMA Junkie, part of the USA TODAY Network. That means viewers will have to pay to watch the event on Paramount+, which charges a minimum of $8.99 for a monthly subscription.

Dana White cited the plan to tell America’s story during the show as the reason CBS would not be involved. "No, because there’s only X number of fights and it starts from the first one," White said. "We start at the beginning of time and like the Mexican Independence Day fight that we did, we’re going to tell the story of America from the first fight to the last. So no, they’ll all be on Paramount+."

CBS, which is owned by Paramount, has aired portions of UFC cards earlier this year, meaning it was available for free. But those CBS broadcasts featured leadup fights to the main card numbered events, the UFC’s marquee fights.

UFC’s deal with Paramount also touted the end of pay-per-view fees ESPN charged to watch the numbered events. The event at the White House has been billed at UFC Freedom 250 and as a celebration of the country’s 250th birthday. It will feature seven fights, about half as many as are on a typical UFC card.

Today is the day. UFC is staging seven fights with all male fighters under the Freedom 250 banner to celebrate Trump’s 80th birthday and the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence’s signing.

The fight card headlined by two title fights on Paramount+ is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. Eastern.

UFC CEO Dana White said the show will go on rain or shine. Strong thunderstorms and heavy lightning disrupted Friday’s Lincoln Memorial promotional event, and the forecast for Sunday evening also looks threatening.
Sounds like one of the bigger challenges are going to be flying insects. Anyway, access to the White House event is invite-only, primarily for military personnel, with approximately 4,300 attendees; however, fans could apply for free tickets to watch the fights from the Ellipse park, adjacent to the White House. Access to the Ellipse watch party requires a pre-issued free ticket.

Extensive road closures and perimeter restrictions are in place around the White House and the Ellipse. There is no public parking available at the site, and no designated rideshare drop-off zones within the security perimeter. The Department of Homeland Security has designated the event as a Level 1 Special Event (the same classification as the Super Bowl). Expect airport-style TSA screening prior to entry. Plan to arrive at least a few hours ahead of the scheduled fight times to ensure ample time to pass through Secret Service checks.

Viewers in the US and UK can stream the event live on Paramount+, with UK audiences also having access via TNT Sports and HBO Max. The fights will begin at 5pm PT / 7pm CT / 8pm ET (1am BST on Monday).

As fireworks exploded above the White House to John Philip Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever past 1am on Monday morning, Trump entered the cage to congratulate Gaethje and greet his mother. The evening ended as it had begun: with a display of patriotic pageantry on a scale rarely seen in American sports.

Beneath a giant steel canopy known as the Claw, the president celebrated the forthcoming 250th anniversary of US independence – but, much more importantly, his own 80th birthday – by staging the first professional sporting event in White House history.

Trump donned a white “USA” hat cageside while chants of “U-S-A!” rang out from sections of the crowd. At various points spectators shouted “Canada is the 51st state!” – echoing Trump’s repeated taunts about annexing America’s northern neighbour. The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) announced last week that it will pay bonuses to fighters in a form of cryptocurrency issued by Trump family business World Liberty Financial.

“On July 4th, at The Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument, in beautiful and safe Washington D.C., we are going to host the most spectacular TRUMP RALLY of them all, a ’TRIBUTE TO AMERICA.’ Starting at 7 P.M. EST, this HUGE Celebration will honor our Country’s People, Spirit, Strength, Resolve, and Triumphs,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

The event has not been without complications through bugs, humidity, and a local thunderstorm which seemingly forced the UFC to postpone the fights for an hour as it waited for the inclement weather to pass. The UFC had a meteorologist on site to track lightning, the only thing organizers say could have stopped the action.

I am a rabid MMA fan and watched the event. It was a well done promotion and at no point did I hear anyone chanting about Canada being the 51st state. In fact, during the lone Canadian walk out on the card the Canadian Anthem was played and the crowd sang along with it.

Trump did fall asleep at once point though and had to be woken up.

President Donald Trump on Monday praised Qatar for offering his administration a free luxury jet, but current and former U.S. military, defense and Secret Service officials said he will likely have to waive existing security specifications to be able to use the plane.
President Donald Trump on Friday got a look at his upgraded Boeing 747, a plane gifted by Qatar, at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland as the aircraft neared delivery ‌to join the Air Force One fleet.
The luxury jet was moved five weeks ago to San Antonio International Airport, suggesting that preparations for improvements to the plane might already be underway.
Retrofitting the luxury plane required security upgrades, communications improvements to prevent eavesdropping, and missile defense capabilities, experts said. Democratic senators estimated the conversion could cost more than $1 billion and raised security risks. This kinda sounds like the “Ballroom” that was gonna be funded by private donations.”
Trump said he would be a “stupid person” not to accept the gift of a $400 million Boeing 747-8, and called it a “great gesture” by Qatar. The president said that he intended to use the plane for a “couple of years” while his administration waits for a pair of Boeing planes to be completed to the strict military standards befitting Air Force One.
While “utilized” as Air Force One, ownership is structured to eventually transfer to the Trump Presidential Library Foundation once his term concludes, ensuring the jet ultimately becomes a personal/foundation asset.
1781904832773.jpegThe Donald J. Trump Presidential Library Foundation is a private nonprofit organization controlled exclusively by the Trump family and close associates. It is governed by three trustees: Eric Trump (the president’s son), Michael Boulos(Tiffany Trump's husband), and Trump attorney James Kiley.
Trump emphasized Monday that the Qatari jet is a significantly newer plane than the ones currently available for the president’s use, which — although fitted with state-of-the-art defensive countermeasures, in-flight refueling capability and secure communications equipment — date to the George H.W. Bush administration in the 1990s.
The new color scheme marks a departure from the white and two-tone blue design dating to President John F. Kennedy's administration. The Air Force revived elements of a red, white and blue palette that Trump had previously pushed for but which was scrapped in 2022 after the service determined darker colors could cause overheating.
1781904807964.jpeg
The new red, white, dark blue and gold livery will also be applied to the VC-25B — the military designation for the Boeing 747-8 — and to four modified Boeing 757-200s used to transport the vice president, cabinet members and other senior officials.
The Qatari jet is serving as a bridge aircraft while Boeing works to deliver two purpose-built 747-8s under a $3.9 billion fixed-price contract signed in 2018. That program is four years behind schedule, with delivery not expected until mid-2028 — a delay that risks leaving Trump without a new plane before his term ends in January 2029😉. Costs on the Boeing program have ballooned to more than $5 billion, with the company posting $2.4 billion in charges against earnings from the project.

The U.S. Constitution strictly prohibits any person holding an "Office of Profit or Trust" from accepting any present, emolument (benefit), or gift of any kind from a foreign state without the consent of Congress.

Congress has not explicitly granted approval, but the Trump administration's Department of War Defense accepted the jet and government lawyers concluded the arrangement bypasses constitutional issues by routing the gift to the U.S. military and a presidential library foundation rather than the president personally.

President Donald Trump on Friday officially unveiled his new Air Force One jet that was contentiously given to him by the Qatari government, declaring it would be used during a ceremonial flyover in Washington on July 4 to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States.

He repeatedly praised the plane, calling it “the largest and the greatest in every aspect.” It will be a “flying White House at a level of luxury no one has ever seen before,” he added.

“The lunch meeting with GOP senators was called to bring attention to the SAVE America Act, which Trump has deemed critical to winning the midterm elections (that Trump doesn’t care about) but lacks enough support to pass. Inside the room, Trump quickly turned the conversation to Iran. Trump and Sen. Bill Cassidy (R., La.) shouted at each other about the war and the senator’s recent vote to rein in the president’s war powers.
(YouTube & "I don't care about the midterms")

“Trump, who engineered Cassidy’s defeat in his primary last month, called the senator a “loser” and told him to sit down, according to people familiar with the exchange. Cassidy replied that no one tells him to sit down.

The president also ripped into Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R., Alaska) and chided Rand Paul (R. Ky.), people familiar with the matter said. The two senators voted with Cassidy, Sen. Susan Collins (R., Maine) and most Democrats to pass a nonbinding resolution Tuesday that would direct Trump to remove U.S. troops from hostilities against Iran. The Republican-controlled House passed the measure earlier in the month.”
1782340883621.jpeg
The contentious gathering came as Trump and GOP senators have been increasingly at odds, with the White House largely ignoring Congress for months on the Iran war and Trump targeting some veteran lawmakers for defeat over what he deemed insufficient loyalty. Bend the knee and kiss the ring?

“Trump last week signed a memorandum of understanding with Iranian leaders to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and to begin talks aimed at Iranian resume change ending Tehran’s nuclear program. While Trump had set forth a goal to destroy Iran’s stock of ballistic missiles, he said last week that it was fair for the regime to maintain some of the weapons.”

The White House released a $87.6 billion supplemental budget request late Wednesday focused mainly on the war but also including aid for farmers.

“Speaking to reporters after the lunch, Cassidy said he had lost his temper. He said that Trump had brought up the Iran war-powers resolution, asking why anyone would have voted for it. So Cassidy stood up. “You have not told the American people what’s going on,” he said he told Trump. “It was supposed to last four weeks, it’s lasted four months.””

“Trump raised his voice, and Cassidy said he matched his tone and his volume. At one point, Trump mocked him for losing his primary election, Cassidy said. “Which of course I lost the election! Way to observe that,” Cassidy scoffed. “I made it clear that I wasn’t going to be bullied, and made it clear that I think we need answers,” Cassidy said. “And that was that.”” In comments to reporters, Trump said it was a “really great meeting” and didn’t address the intraparty debate over Iran.

“Republicans have a 53-47 majority in the Senate, but the SAVE America Act requires 60 votes to advance under the chamber’s filibuster rule. No Democrats support the proposal. Trump has demanded Republicans eliminate the filibuster rule, but Thune has rejected the idea.

“The president was there to sell SAVE America, break the filibuster if you want to, if we need to,” said Sen. Roger Marshall (R., Kan.). “He wants that passed so bad.” ”
In a series of social-media messages early Wednesday, Trump canceled plans to sign the bipartisan housing legislation that the House and Senate passed this week. He said he would refuse to take action on the measure until Congress passes the SAVE America Act.

(YouTube & "I don't care about the midterms")

“Trump has previously warned that Republicans will lose the midterms (that he doesn’t care about) unless they pass the bill into law. But many GOP senators have repeatedly told him it has no path to passage and have instead pushed the White House to extricate the country from the Iran war and to show more focus on the economy. ”
(YouTube & Trump CANCELS signing of bipartisan housing bill)

“Trump’s refusal to sign the housing measure risked undercutting GOP efforts to show they are addressing Americans’ concerns about the cost of living ahead of the fall elections. Democrats have a strong shot at taking back the House in the midterms. In the Senate, Republicans are increasingly nervous that their majority also could be at risk.

“I mean, my goodness, I thought that we were happy about addressing affordability,” said Sen. Thom Tillis (R., N.C.), who has repeatedly clashed with the White House and is retiring after this term. “I don’t know why you’re holding a bill that’s ready for signature hostage over a bill that will never pass in this Congress.””
