Do you know what religion is? It is not the chant, it is not in the performance of puja, or any other ritual, it is not in the worship of tin gods or stone images, it is not in the temples and churches, it is not in the reading of the Bible or the Gita, it is not in the repeating of a sacred name or in the following of some other superstition invented by men. None of this is religion.Religion is the feeling of goodness, that love which is like the river, living, moving everlastingly. In that state you will find there comes a moment when there is no longer any search at all; and this ending of search is the beginning of something totally different. The search for God, for truth, the feeling of being completely good - not the cultivation of goodness, of humility, but the seeking out of something beyond the inventions and tricks of the mind, which means having a feeling for that something, living in it, being it - that is true religion. But you can do that only when you leave the pool you have dug for yourself and go out into the river of life. Then life has an astonishing way of taking care of you, because then there is no taking care on your part. Life carries you where it will because you are part of itself; then there is no problem of security, of what people say or don't say, and that is the beauty of life.
As usual , your thoughts are always welcome .

Again China .... the simplicity

We drown ourselves in making complicated avoidance - rather than moving forward - eagerly seeking
what lies ahead... the refreshing strength of life's song....if we will listen.

When I look back at history of humanity as far a I can go as written, coupled with the history of Abraham's linage, I see resident in humanity's heart a quest for a higher spiritual plain that exists above the that of human suffering.

This higher plain for ages had no formal introduction to humanity as to who or what it was. Until Abraham's' being introduced to "a" god, "The" God.

A promise delivered to Him that of his seed shall be many nations.Gen 26:24 And the LORD appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham's sake.

Gal 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Now "the" God is identified as God of all creation and worthy of praise.

So this quest for a higher spiritual plain of mankind, I believe is man's religion.

We make of it what we think based on what we know and experience in life, the time frame we are placed in this world and finally, how our hearts are touched by the divine.

We are all of the same body of flesh, yet not all touched by God in the same way and to the same degree.
It is a learning experience, a trial and error thing, an on the job training and a progression of learned wisdom and experiences transfered to the younger generations to some day arrive at that perfect body, of both body and soul.
But not without Gods leadings, promptings and human sacrifices.

Each one of us is a generation of many passing through this world giving or taking according to our own desires. We have no choice but to take what is given us and making something good out of it and passing it on to the next generation, hopefully making it easier for them.

These are my thoughts as I have
learned them.

I have learned after much trial and error that the final end result of all of it, is simply in one word: Love!

It was there all the time, but could not see it, for it was hidden until the trial brought it out in me.

So, my quest has come to an end in fulfillment, now knowing of the fullness of Gods love for me, in me and towards my fellow brother and sister.

Not many understand it as such but do have it. It is like seeing through a glass darkly, seeing it but not clearly.

1Co 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
